Summary

Cash Book is a cash book and customer credit ledger for Android. It needs no account and no bank link. The books, entries, customers and balances you record stay on your phone: we have no server that receives them. The app sends anonymous usage and crash statistics, which you can turn off in Settings, and Google Play handles purchases. This website uses Google Analytics to count visits. The details are below.

The Android app (vn.fighttech.cashbook)

Your financial data never leaves your device unless you move it yourself. Your books, entries, customers and balances are kept in the app’s private storage on your phone, which Android removes when you uninstall the app. There is no account and no server of ours that receives them. The app also turns off Android’s automatic cloud backup, so they are not copied to your Google Drive backup.

Backups and exports. A backup is a file that you choose to save, in a place you pick. With Pro, you can protect backups with an optional password; without one, the file is readable, so keep it somewhere private. Reports and exports (PDF or CSV, where the app offers them) leave your phone only when you save or share them yourself.

Notifications. The optional daily reminder to record your entries is scheduled on your phone and set again after it restarts. While the Computer view is on, Android shows a notification so you always know it is running.

App lock. The optional app lock uses a 4-digit PIN kept on your phone and, if you turn it on, your fingerprint. Fingerprint matching is done by Android; the app never receives your fingerprint.

Anonymous statistics and crash reports. The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to count which screens and features are used and to receive crash reports. This is on by default; turn it off at any time with the “Share anonymous usage and crash data” switch in Settings. Amounts, notes and names you enter are never included; where a figure matters, only a rough range is recorded. Firebase also receives an app instance ID, the app version, the device model and the Android version, and, while sharing is on, Firebase Analytics may receive the advertising ID. Google processes this data for us. To ask us to delete analytics data linked to your app instance, email us.

Purchases. Pro is a one-time purchase, a monthly subscription or a subscription billed every 3 months, sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment; we never see your card or account details. The app keeps only whether Pro is active. The Google Play install referrer tells the app only which page or campaign a download came from.

Optional reward videos. Some versions of the app may offer an optional short video that earns a credit. Where videos are offered, they come from Unity Ads and play only when you tap to watch one; in versions that do not offer videos, Unity Ads is never started. Unity may use your device’s advertising ID and collect device and usage data to serve and measure a video; see Unity’s privacy policy. There are no banner or pop-up ads, and Pro users never see videos.

Computer view (Wi-Fi). Computer view lets you read your books, and download them as CSV, in a web browser on a computer connected to the same Wi-Fi. It is off until you tap Start, and Android shows a notification while it runs. The address contains a random access code that changes every session. Data travels over plain HTTP inside your own network and never through an outside server. Tap Stop to end it, and use it only on networks you trust.

Payment reminders and contacts. A payment reminder is text that the app hands to Android’s share menu; you pick the messaging app and send it yourself. The app does not ask for permission to send SMS. When you pick a phone number from your contacts, Android’s contact picker gives the app only the entry you chose; the app does not ask for permission to read your contacts. Customer and supplier names and numbers stay in the app on your phone.

No phone-number login. There is no account and no one-time code: nobody, including us, can link your books to your phone number.

Permissions.

  • Internet and network state: anonymous statistics and crash reports, Google Play Billing, Computer view on your Wi-Fi and reward videos where offered.
  • Notifications and run at start-up: reminders and alerts you switch on, set again after your phone restarts.
  • Wake lock: lets reminders and Google’s Firebase libraries finish short background tasks.
  • Foreground service (data sync): keeps Computer view running, with its notification, while it is on.
  • Biometric / fingerprint: the optional app lock.
  • Google Play billing and install referrer: buying Pro and knowing which page a download came from.
  • Advertising ID: declared for reward videos where offered and, while sharing is on, may be used by Firebase Analytics. You can reset or delete it in Android settings.

The app does not ask for access to your camera, contacts, location, microphone, SMS, files or exact alarms.

This website (cash-book-online.web.app)

This website describes the app. It has no forms and does not ask for any personal data.

Stored in your browser. The page remembers your language (cb.lang, one of en, es, id, pt-BR or vi) and, on Android, when you closed the app banner (cb.bannerDismissedAt) in this browser’s local storage. This never leaves your browser; clearing this site’s data removes it.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-0C9XKD9QDT) to see how many people visit and which links they use. It records page views and these events:

  • play_click with where the Google Play link was (header, hero, footer, banner or a legal page).
  • banner_dismiss when you close the Android app banner, and lang_switch with the language you picked (en, es, id, pt-BR or vi).

Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address and browser details, as with any Google Analytics site. Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off. Analytics does not load at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also block it with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Other services. The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page). The font is loaded from Google Fonts and the Google Play badge image from play.google.com, so those services see a normal web request. Google Play links carry a referrer that says only which site and which link you used.

Children

The app and this website are general personal-finance tools and are not directed at children.

Changes

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and its effective date.
